I'm BACK

Well guys I’m finally back! We haven’t had internet for 2 weeks because apparently the guys who lived here before us were assholes but hey can’t do much about that now, but find the old tenants and brutally torture them for all the shit we had to go through just to get power, water and internet all in our names. Well since I haven’t posted anything in a while this weekend I am going to make two posts other than this one, one will be a review and the other will be a more personal what the hell has been going on with me and my roommates kind of post.
I would also like to take this time to say that the month of September will be Netflix Suggestion month, in which I will only be watched and review movies that are on the NF suggested list based on movies I have already watched there, but I do want to start with one of your guys’ suggestions and move on from there though if possible. Well I got allot of blogs to catch up on, as well as 2 weeks’ worth of videos and such but there will be updates today I promise.

Idle bodies are the devil!

Well as I woke up to bite marks on my arm, cause I haven’t eaten in forever, I was reminded of the phrase “Idle hands are the devils playground” and then I remembered the movie Idle hand so hey today is a comedy horror movie! It’s a movie from 1999 that starts Devon Sawa as Anton, Seth Green as Mick, Elden Henson as Pnub, and Jessica Alba as Molly, the love interest. In case you have never heard of this movie or seen it, or even cared to look into it, it’s a movie about a teenager named Anton with a possessed hand because he is the laziest person to live. The movie starts off with Anton’s parents being killed but we never see the face or body of the killer, the only real problem I have with the opening is how long it takes the mother to call 9-1-1. Shortly after Anton wakes up listening to music and immediately turns on the tv and starts calling for his mom that they are out of food, shortly after he calls his friends because he is out of weed as well and want them to bring him some. After he gets off his lazy ass and goes to his friend’s house we find out that he is so lazy he doesn’t even go to school and that to him the perfect life would be him sitting on the couch watching TV and smoking while hot babes bring him food all day, it is also revealed here that Anton hasn’t seen his parents in a couple of days and hasn’t bothered to worry about it until now. Being desperate for food he leaves only to find the love of his life that he has been stalking for some number of years now as dropped her lyric book, so being the gentleman that he is, he grabs her book goes to her house and awkwardly shoves it to you and walks away without a word.
After we see there is a druid priestess hunting down a demonic entity but by the time she gets to where it was last it has left, going back to her Mystery Machine and marking on the map where the next location is she finds out it makes a pentagram somehow. Anton finds his dead parents who have been in the living room the whole time, how he couldn’t have smelt them is a mystery though, shortly after his friends arrive and try to call the cops but Anton’s hand kills them. This shows the only awesome part of the movie when his friends come back to life, he assumes they are zombies but as Mick says “No man we just want to chill, when we saw the light we were just like fuck that man and came back to our bodies” best undead friends ever.  You might be thinking that I have giving too much info here but I haven’t there is still much that I won’t say because I think you should actually watch this movie.
This is a comedy if nothing else, I mean yea people are dying and getting killed but it’s by a fucking hand, if you can’t over power a hand not a whole body just a hand then you’re pretty sad. I like this movie, it’s definitely a 7 out of 10 if only for the fact I can always laugh at it.  My friend calls it a spoof but the comedy rout is just the way horror movies were going at that time, it’s one of the movies where you can play the Claw game. The Claw game if you don’t know is where at action parts of the movie you just play the audio from the claw scene from Toy-Story and it sounds like it still fits in a way and is awesome. It is a movie you can watch with friends, even if they are somebody who gets scared easy there is no way you can be scared by this at all unless you already have a fear that your hand is going to go evil and kill you. Well that’s it and now I have to go find something to eat before my head turns evil and tries to eat the rest of my body, remember to leave movies and shows that you want me to do in the comments if any.

Schedule and Requests

Well fucking hell man, I think I can finally post after four days of unreliable internet connection and weird ass weather. Seriously just five minutes ago it was like a hurricane outside and now it’s sunny again. Well while I wasn’t being able to watch anything interesting I was able to find an old VCR and all the old tapes of shows I watched as a kid in the 90s so I at least had that, but anyways while gone I came up with a bit of a schedule, or at least a list of what the reviews to come will be.
Spiderman TV shows
Session 9
Mega Man 90s show
Idle hand
Daria
Revolutionary Girl Utena Movie
VR Troopers
Animatrix
Martian Successor Nadesico
Kung Fu Hustle
Bandit King Jing
Bubba Ho-tep
Mummies Alive
Grandma’s Boy
Might Max
Silent Hill Movie
This list is bound to change over time, as well I will still be taking requests as I go, and most likely I will not stay to this order but who knows. If you’re going to request anything please do it on this post as I read all the comments anyways and I should get back to regular posting again.

Lo-ve This movie

Well the first thing that should be said is I Lo-ve this movie!...get it? Lo-ve, like Lo, the movie’s title :D… I never claimed to be good at puns but I digress. I first found this movie while waiting to go to a Japanese exam, I ended up being half an hour late because I just got so sucked into the movie and didn’t want to stop watching.
The basic story is that a guy opens a gate to hell and summons a demon to find his lost girlfriend who was taken to hell.  The movie stars Sarah Lassez (who is an amazing actress)Photobucket Ward RobertsPhotobucket, and Jeremiah Birkett Photobucket. This movie is interesting as it mostly takes place in one room, it seems like it could be a play with its setting. I am not one for romance movies but for some reason movies like this and Wristcutters: A Love story, I really love; come to think of it, the dark undertone and death probably are what I love about them. This movie is also a comedy, somewhat in the style of the Evil Dead movies, its dark, kind of morbid and just plain funny.
Throughout the movie we get to see the beginning of the love story, though it is starting at the end. As the protagonist Justin summons the demon Lo to help him find this lost girlfriend April. Though Lo promises to eat Justin, by giving him the new name of Dinner, he says he needs Justin to remember all he can about her and tell their story so that he may better find her. As they look more into the past Justin starts to see how odd their relationship was, yet he tries to deny it all. This movie also has a few musical numbers, the first given by the demon that took April from Justin even!
I can’t give everything away, mostly because this movie is better to be watched then to be told to you, and has a truly great story as no matter what keeps happening Justin keeps on asking for his love April and never gives up. And hey if you have a girl that happens to like weird romantic like movies it might be worth watching with them on a date.
Remember guys if you have any suggestions for movies or anything just leave it in the comments and I’ll see what I can do. And don't expect many of my post to have pictures and videos.

Power Puff Girls VS Power Puff Girls Z

This is a review I originally wanted to do on my YT but could never bring myself to editing the video, and since a recent commenter suggested that I use some pictures I am going to try it here instead, let me know what you think. Today we take a look at the American Power Puff Girls versus the Japanese Power Puff Girls Z. Before we look at the story we are going to look at the girls themselves.
LET'S FiGHT! Pictures, Images and Photos
power puff girls Pictures, Images and Photos
As you can see there are a few changes, first of all in Z the girls have fingers, as well they now have weapons, not sure why since they are supper powered girls but guess it makes some kinds of sense. The girls are in middle school so they look older and taller, besides that they look pretty damn similar not much to complain about.
Now let us examine the basic stories. In PPG Professor Utonium was trying to make the perfect little girls and accidently added a chemical he discovered calling it CHEMICAL X! AND THUS THE POWER PUFF GIRLS WERE BORN! USING THEIR ULTRA SUPER POWERS! BLOSSOM BUBBLES AND BUTTERCUP HAVE DEDICATED THEIR LIVES TO FIGHTING CRIME AND THE FORECES OF EVIL! (start the theme song). That was basically it, of course their arch enemy Mojo Jojo, was also created in the accident, when the chemical X got on his head and extremely increasing his brain power and intelligence, and causing him to forever seek revenge of the professor, the girls, and all of humanity.
In Z however, Professor Utonium and his son are working on Chemical X and nearly prefect it, until their robot dog accidently nudges in a very sugary treat, changing the substance form chemical x to chemical z, not sure why the sugar does this but whatever. When testing this new discovery with a weather device shit goes crazy, and as a giant iceberg is heading towards Townsville Jr. takes the risk and shoots it with Chemical Z releasing both white and black lights, scattering throughout the city, because balance ying yang and all that stuff. The dog gets zapped by the white light and becomes a real boy, as well do the girls. In this story the girls aren’t sisters, Blossom comes out of a story eating sweats, going boy crazy then moving a little kid out of the way of the beam and touching the kids yo-yo in the process, she becomes a power puff girl and her weapon is a magic yo-yo; same thing with Bubbles and Buttercup, Bubbles with a bubble wand and Buttercup with a giant hammer. Like in the American version Mojo Jojo gets his powers at the same time, but then again so do all the villains here. Besides those changes the girls have to eat sweats to regain their power, and since they were changed with Z rays they are called Power Puff Girls Z! One more thing about the Japanese version is that they are proper super heroes with the professor calling them so they can henchin up and change into the power puff girls, and like I said though they are not sister in this version you never really see their respective families.
Now done to what matters, which version is better. Well asaid from the final episode of PPG I can say I have seen every single episode and for the most part liked the series, as for Z I have seen 26 episodes, and honestly tried to like it, but it must be the nostalgia but I like PPG better. Now I am not saying Z is bad though there are parts of it I didn’t like, say for entrance their weapons. While I do like majority of the henchin shows out there I can’t really say I like the fact the girls aren’t sister or the fact they have to hide their identities. As a monster told the girls in PPG in a particual episode when they try and be actually old school super heroes (like wonder woman, spawn, and hello kitty for whatever reason) I believe he said “Even if you take away the costumes, the props and the angst. You still have all the bravery and courage it takes to save the day.” That episode by the way is Super Zeros if you are wondering. To me PPG don’t need secret identities, weapons, or anything else they are better the way there were born, nothing against Japan but in this case the American version is 10 times better.

Deadgirl (not a zombie movie)

Well since I have done one anime review, and it feels too soon to do another one, I shall do a weird horror movie! Deadgirl is the topic of the day blog, and it is a movie that I have mixed feelings about. The few people I know call this a zombie movie, and though there is an undead person in this movie I see it more as a psychological movie than anything else. The movie starts off with Rickie (played by Shiloh Fernandez) and JT (Noah Segan) waiting outside for school to start, JT Making fun of Rickie for crushing on one of the popular girls in school Joann (Candice Accola), when the bell rings for classes to start JT talks Rickie into skipping and to fallow him to an abandon mental asylum. After fucking around for a while they find their way to the basement where they are chased by a dog into another room with a door rusted shut where they find a nude girl with a plastic bag on her head. First they think there is a killer in the room but they see her move so JT thinks they should help her but Rickie thinks they should call the cops, after getting into a fight Rickie leaves and returns later with a gun. JT tells him that after he left the girl kept trying to bite him so he choked her to death even though she was chained down and couldn’t hurt him, he did this twice then takes the gun from Rickie and shoots her 3 times but she doesn’t die. JT comes to the conclusion that she is dead and thinks it best to keep her as a sex slave, Rickie isn’t sure what to do next but he doesn’t want to join his friend in this questionable act.
That’s just the beginning of this movie, it gets more interesting from there and even though this movie is indeed about a zombie I see it as also a coming of age tale for Rickie if that makes any sense as he has to decide what he should do about his friend keeping a woman against her will as a sex slave even though she is dead, all the while not wanting to get his friend in trouble and having to worry about other things happening in his life because of this. I will admit this story is a bit messed up, there is gore and as a horror movie it messes with the mind a bit more than it does focus on the dead girl, as it mostly focuses on what they are doing with the girl. It is also possible that they guys who made this just wanted to make a movie about sex with a Deadgirl that eats people, but the ending is bitter sweet in my opinion as Rickie has to make an extremely difficult decision. I do recommend this but personally I think a single viewing of this is all a person needs, it is on Netflix instant stream.

Like this review? Leave me a comment suggesting any other movies you think would be good, and next blog will be another anime.

My looks on G Gundam

Before I do my first review let me give some back story as to why I am doing this one first. To honor moving in with one of my best friends, a few weeks ago we went to an anime event at a mall, to where we had a discussion “Dude no Gundam series had a plot” he said looking for a darker anime. I thought for a moment only to find he is half right “Gundam series have plots, it just depends on which you are watching, granted some of them are stupid like when they were chibi sentient Gundams that traveled dimensions for something about magic or friendship or whatever” he issued the challenge the name one that has a good plot and that comes to now, my review and recap of G Gundam.
G Gundam was a series that aired 2002 on Toonami in the early 2000s. It takes place in F.C. 60, where there are colonies in space from each nation and known as Neo colonies (i.e. Neo-America, Neo-Japan ext.) It is the 13th Gundam Fight were leaders from the colonies choose and send down Gundam fighters, where we fallow our  hero for this series Domon Kasshu and his mobile suit Shinning Gundam, later to change to the Burning Gundam. Within the first few episodes we are introduced to:
Rain Mikamura- Domon’s partner and love interest
Chibodee Crocket – Neo-America’s fighter, pilots Gundam Maxter. Domon doesn’t destroy his Gundam in their first fight because he sees his true fighting spirit
George de Sand - Neo-France’s fighter, pilots Gundam Rose.  Is tricked into a fight with Domon by the princess to fight for honor, match ends in a tie.
Sai Saici – Neo-China’s fighter, pilots the Dragon Gundam. Domon is asked by his trainers to take him down after his suit is stolen by thugs, gets Domon arrested and later fights that ends in a tie as well.
Argo Guisii – Neo-Russia’s fighter, pilots Bolt Gundam. When Domon gets arrested he helps him break out and then fights, Domon defeats him. Argo is forced to be a fighter as he is a permanent prisoner with a bomb stuck to his chest.
Though out the first part of the series Domon travels to find a man in a picture he carries around that is later to be shown as his brother. In the episode “Fight, Domon! Earth is the Ring” he is taken back to Neo-Japan where he is forced to relive his last day on the colony. It is revealed that the man in the picture is Kyoji Kasshu, Domon’s older brother. Kyoji is the creator of the Dark Gundam and its pilot who wishes to rule the world. It is explained that the only one who can defeat Kyoji is “The King of Hearts” who happens to be Domon. It is also revealed that the power that Domon has that allows him to win above everybody else is his emotion, manifested in his move known as the SHINING FINGER. “This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! Its burning grip tells me to defeat you!” that move later turns to the Shining Finger Sword, not that great of a name but it can only be used when Domon’s pain and anger is at its highest and the Shining Gundam reaches its true form. “TAKE THIS! MY LOVE, MY ANGER, AND ALL OF MY SORROW! ALL IN ONE FINGER! SHINNING FINGER SWORD!” this move obliterates most enemies but that’s the end of the recap without gives away most of the fights and the ultimate ending of the series. If you want to know more I suggest watching it.
Now I think this proves to my roommate that this series as well as other have a good plot. Yes it revolves around Gundam fights but that’s what the series is. In my opinion this series has a good plot, granted the “heart of the cards” like power is a bit cheesy I still think that Domon’s power is epic and awesome. It’s a story of not only a man trying to save the world, but a boy having to fight his brother and avenge his family while having to pass through many obstacles in his way. Some parts are a bit cheesy, character development isn’t always great, and this isn’t that light hearted of a series if that is what you’re looking for. Gundams series as a whole are mostly awesome, there are a few that I just don’t get or like for one reason or another but G Gundam stands as one of my top 3 Gundam series and I enjoyed watching it again for this review, I highly recommend it.

Introduction to Me

Well seeing how this is my first blog before i start posting things that actually are my views on things I probably should tell a bit about my self. First off Trench is for Trench Coat since i wear one everywhere, don't ask me why its more of a mental "I have to wear this or I'll get stressed" as well of a I don't like people messing with me thing. When I wear my trench coat people tend to leave me alone or just don't notice me, granted in high school most people thought that I had a gun on me most of the time.
B I grew up watching horror movies, since I was but a wee lad they used movies to put me to sleep, so most of the things I will be posting shall be horror movie reviews and anime reviews, yes I know many people do this already but hey everybody has a voice and why not listen to a crazy man?
Triangle, I also make LP on YouTube, under the username WolfyFreak, chose that name cause I couldn't pick between two different nick names I had at the time. All in all my name is Phreak, about twice a week I shall be writing a review of an anime or a movie and who knows what else, I am doing this partly out of boredom and partly so that it may help keep the small part of sanity I have left and get me through the rest of college.
